Defective or damaged polyethylene tanks are a major problem in agriculture, as they are essential for the storage of water, fertilisers or chemicals. With WEICON Easy-Mix PE-PP 45, quick and cost-effective repairs can be carried out without the need for a new purchase. After thorough cleaning with WEICON Surface Cleaner, the adhesive is applied, followed by a bandage or glass fibre tape. Subsequently, these are sealed with another layer of WEICON Easy-Mix PE-PP 45. Optimal adhesion is achieved by manually distributing the adhesive. After 24 hours of curing at room temperature, the tank is ready for use again.
The repair with WEICON Easy-Mix PE-PP 45 not only saves costs but also prevents potential environmental damage from leaking liquids. Thanks to the adhesive's high resistance to weathering and chemicals, the repair is permanent and reliable.

Sealing and securing of sockets in polyethylene feed containers

In agriculture, polyethylene feed containers often need to be fitted with taps and sockets to allow efficient dispensing. By using WEICON Easy-Mix PE-PP 50, a reliable sealing and fixing of the connections can be achieved. After drilling the holes and cutting the threads, the surfaces of the tap and socket are thoroughly cleaned with WEICON Surface Cleaner. The adhesive is then applied and the components are securely screwed together.

Its simple application enables quick and cost-effective installation, which reduces labour and material costs. Repair of ramps and conveyor belts in agriculture
with WEICON Belt Repair-Kit
Uneven surfaces on ramps make it difficult for agricultural machinery to drive over them, while damaged conveyor belts disrupt operations. Both problems can be solved efficiently with WEICON Belt Repair-Kit. WEICON Belt Repair-Kit is a 2-component polyurethane system for the fast repair and coating of rubber surfaces.
A damaged weighbridge with an uneven surface causes vibrations and increased wear on the tyres and suspension of tractors or trailers. The repair begins with roughening and dusting the concrete surface, followed by priming with WEICON Primer G. WEICON Urethane 85 is then applied and moulded into the desired shape using a gauge. This enables an even ramp, improves driving comfort and minimises wear on agricultural vehicles.
Even a damaged conveyor belt can be repaired with WEICON Belt Repair-Kit. It is cleaned with WEICON Cleaner Spray S, prepared with WEICON Primer G and repaired with WEICON Urethane 85 and WEICON Contour Spatula Flexy. This extends the service life of the belt and avoids the need for costly vulcanisation or replacement. The repair allows feed or harvested goods to be transported again without any difficulties.

Agitator propellers in biogas plants are subject to heavy wear due to constant contact with aggressive media and abrasive particles. Cost-efficient repairs extend the service life considerably and prevent expensive new purchases.
To carry out repairs, the damaged blade sections are initially stabilised with WEICON Repair Stick Multi. This universal repair putty adheres reliably to metal, is easy to use and hardens quickly. Subsequently, the structure is rebuilt in layers using WEICON Casting Resin MS 1000 – a high-strength epoxy resin system specifically designed for bonding, laminating and casting applications. The final coating with WEICON Ceramic HC 220 ensures maximum wear protection. Thanks to its ceramic filling and high temperature resistance, it protects the propeller from abrasion and chemical influences permanently.

Motor mowers intended for operation on steep slopes and in difficult terrain must withstand extreme mechanical stress. To ensure a strong and durable bond between the housing components, WEICON Easy-Mix RK-7100 is used. The high-strength acrylate structural adhesive ensures reliable bonding of metal and plastic-based components and offers high impact and peel resistance.
In addition, WEICONLOCK AN 302-43 is used for threadlocking. The medium-strength threadlocker prevents unintentional loosening of screws caused by vibrations and mechanical loads, ensuring long-term stability.
By applying these bonding and securing techniques in a targeted manner, an economical and efficient manufacturing process is achieved, capable of withstanding the extreme demands of the agricultural and construction sectors.

In agricultural technology, bonds have to withstand high mechanical loads, moisture and temperature fluctuations. WEICON GMK 2410 is perfect for the fast and strong bonding of rubber to metal, plastic and other materials. Among other applications, it is used to reliably bond rubber lips on feed pushers, sealing components on feeding and watering systems and anti-slip mats in livestock transport vehicles. Thanks to its high initial adhesion and short curing time, it enables efficient processing without long downtimes.
For particularly demanding applications, WEICON GMK 2510 offers even higher final strength and resistance. It is primarily used where a durable and high-strength bond is required, for example when repairing damaged rubber coatings on screw conveyors, fixing rubber pads to metal structures on agricultural machinery or bonding wear protection linings in mixing plants for animal feed.

Effective wear protection for rapeseed agitator blades
The blades of a rapeseed stirring system are exposed to heavy mechanical and abrasive stresses from seeds and production residues. Without proper protection, material wear and functional issues can occur, potentially leading to costly repairs or even the replacement of components.
In order to repair the blades sustainably, they are first thoroughly cleaned with WEICON Cleaner S, sandblasted and cleaned again. WEICON HB 300 then levels out damaged areas and reinforces the component.
Several layers of different WEICON ceramic coatings are used for long-term protection against wear. A first coat of WEICON Ceramic HC 220 serves as a durable primer, followed by an additional coating of WEICON Ceramic BL, which provides high abrasion resistance. Finally, an additional coat of WEICON Ceramic HC 220 further hardens the component and provides optimal protection against mechanical wear and corrosion.
